We are not in the business of moving people from A to B
We are in the business of what happens between A and B. The moment the dunes appear on the horizon. The cup of tea in a Berber house. The look on someone's face when they see the Sahara sky at night for the first time. That is what we have been doing since 2019 — and, in one form or another, for years before that.
How Samra Voyages Started
Before Samra Voyages existed, the same routes were already being driven — the same Atlas passes, the same kasbah roads south of Ouarzazate, the same tracks into Erg Chebbi. The difference is that for years, that work was done for someone else's agency. The clients left satisfied. The reviews were good. But something was missing — the ability to do things the right way, on our own terms.
Samra Voyages was founded in 2019 with two things that most tour operators talk about but fewer actually build their business around: genuine hospitality, and a support system that stays with the client from the first enquiry to the moment they get back to their hotel at the end of the last day.
The name Samra — a warm, sun-kissed tone in Arabic — says something about what we were trying to create. Not a transaction. Not a product. A feeling.
We have had more than 500 clients since 2019. Some have come back. Some have sent their friends. One client, after we helped plan a birthday trip for his partner, came back to find us — not to book another tour, but to bring flowers and a box of chocolates on our own birthday. We still do not know how he found out the date. That is the kind of thing that makes you understand why you started.
Two Things We Do Not Compromise On
Hospitality First
There is a Moroccan saying that a guest is a gift from God. We take that seriously — not as a slogan, but as the actual measure of whether we have done our job. The money is secondary. What matters is the smile at the end of the trip. A satisfied traveler is the best ambassador any agency can have. No marketing budget replaces that.
Always Present
Travel creates questions. Some people are nervous about booking with a local operator they found online. Some have logistical anxieties. Some just want to know someone is there if something goes wrong. Our support team answers within a few hours — before the tour, during it, and after. Not a chatbot. Not an automated reply. A real person who knows your itinerary.
The People Behind the Tours
Samra Voyages is not a solo operation. It runs on a team of people who have been working in Morocco's tourism industry long enough to know what actually matters on the ground — which roads to take in winter, which camps are worth the premium, which stops make the difference between a good tour and one people talk about for years.

Digital & Support Team
Enquiries, Booking & Follow-upThe team behind every reply, every confirmation, every question answered before it becomes a problem.
Our driver-guides speak English, French and Spanish — and between the wider team, also Japanese, Chinese and Russian. The Atlas Mountains and the Sahara do not have language barriers when you have the right people.
Licensed & Professional
Samra Voyages is a licensed tourism activity operator, approved by the Moroccan state. A registered professional operation — not an informal intermediary — with full accountability to our clients.
Founded in 2019, with team members whose experience in Moroccan tourism goes back considerably further. More than 500 travelers served across desert tours, day trips and multi-day Morocco circuits.
We are not a booking platform based in Europe reselling tours. We are on the ground in Marrakech. When something changes — a road, a camp, the weather — we know before our clients do, and we handle it.
UK, US, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, Russia and beyond. Every traveler brings a different expectation. That is what keeps the work interesting after six years.
